Irene Umar is the Vice Minister of Creative Economy of Indonesia, appointed in 2024 by President Prabowo Subianto. She has an outstanding track record in technology, finance, and social impact. With a background as the founder and CEO of W3GG and Managing Partner at DNC, a venture capital firm that funds and mentors creative entrepreneurs both in Indonesia and global markets, she is recognized as a central figure in the blockchain industry. Irene has also gained strategic cross-sector experience prior to her role in the government sector. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from President University in 2008, specializing in banking and finance, which laid the foundation for her career in finance, including her strategic role as Associate Director at Standard Chartered Bank.
