Cyrus is the Chairperson of the ASEAN Fintech Forum (AFF) and the Partner and Director at 3AVentures. AFF’ Financial Inclusion charter is to create various platforms to educate and induct ASEAN’ 670 million people into the financial services world.

Each one should have comprehensive insurance and each should have access to basic banking, transaction accounts – is the ultimate goal.

Cyrus is also the Executive Director at the ASEAN Economic Forum – Intelligence Unit, where he works closely with the principals to create GTM eco systems.

At 3AVentures, where he and his global teams act as advisors, focusing on all aspects of run-the-bank or change-the-bank. His research and advisory practices cover Banking, Insurance and Capital Markets and topics such as Critical Systems Modernization and Process Transformation, Hybrid Cloud, AI, Data & Analytics, Customer Lifecycle Management, Digital Experience (DX), e-Commerce eco-systems, Blockchain and Fintech. For the past 22 years, Cyrus and his various teams have been working with financial institutions to help them assess their business and operational and technical challenges, select the right vendors / partners, better understand their IT TCO, and grow their customer base.

Until recently, Cyrus was the Managing Director for IDC’s Global Financial Services practice, for 20 years. Before merging with IDC, Cyrus was Managing Partner with a regional research and publication firm. He was instrumental in growing their proprietary as well as subscription-based research business along with their publishing businesses. Cyrus worked with Wells for nearly four years in their FX & Bullion trading operations division. Before Wells, Cyrus spent 10 years with HSBC in Asia. 

Cyrus is also an active investor in companies across Singapore, India and Dubai, his forte being Payments, Fintech and Insurtech. He lived and worked in the UK, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, and Australia for nearly 15 years before he moved back to Singapore in 2000.

His understanding of a range of business, market, regulatory, and investment related issues enable him to work closely with financial institutions, consultants, vendors, and government agencies on various multi-disciplinary initiatives.
